I have been absent as of late, and I am really sorry. 2014 has not been too kind to us. My 11 year old broke my hard drive by being too rough with my laptop, and while I was able to back up most of my files before the whole thing locked up, I am missing a whole file folder that had my class materials for the store. The same day I replaced my hard drive, our hot water heater went, which was about a $1500 repair. After that, the check engine light came on in my car. In addition to having strep throat and the stomach flu, I also got diagnosed with Lyme disease, and have had some lung thing going on, too. Since the strep and stomach bug went away, things are tolerable, but I have been fighting fatigue while trying to get school work done, get to IEP meetings for my sons, and I also have to take my youngest boy to a gi specialist to figure out why he’s not growing the way he should. I was hoping to get a workbook finished before Imbolc, but it’s not seeming like I’m going to be able to finish it in time 🙁
On to the good: I elevated to sophomore status very unexpectedly for my pagan ministry degree, and *might* be headed to Washington State for the Spring Mysteries Festival, run by the Aquarian Tabernacle Church, which is the church my school is affiliated with. My youngest boy has gained 2 pounds in about 2 weeks time, thanks to pediasure with a scoop of protein powder taken daily. My little princess, Persephone, has recently said her first two words, ‘hi’ complete with waving, and ‘light’, for the lights on my laptop, lol. Other than that, things have been quiet, just busy researching various gi disorders that can contribute to failure to thrive, while also trying to get a handle on my own health issues. I’m looking forward to things calming down a bit, and getting back in the swing of things after having been sick for so long (I have been sick since November). I hope you all have had a gentler 2014 than we have had here!
